The energy certificate for selling
To sell a house, an apartment, commercial premises or an office you need the energy performance certificate, and its label must appear on the listing. It is signed by a qualified assessor: we put you in touch with certified assessors.
What the regulations say
- It is signed by a qualified technician (engineer, architect or building surveyor) after visiting the property.
- It is registered with your autonomous region's body before advertising.
- It is valid for 10 years.
- The label has to appear in every listing.
- At the notary, the original is handed to the buyer.
- Not having one can mean fines of up to €6,000.
- Guide price: from €45 to €400 plus VAT, depending on the property.
